Mapping my design process

An excercise in journey mapping

In june 2012, as an excercise in creating user journeys, I mapped my experience during the execution of design projects; this is not a prescription of how UX design should be planned / tasked or even executed, although it could work as a nice startpoint for defining a methodology.

It is distributed along 4 stages:

  1. Discovery - insights, limits, conditions and understanding.
  2. Conceptual design - consensus and agreement, initial ideation.
  3. Detailed design - deeper ideation, clear solutions.
  4. Development - detailing, documentation, propagation and delivering.
